Does MamaRoo need infant insert?
Absolutely! All models of the 4moms mamaRoo can be used from birth without a newborn insert. While it is not necessary for usage, it does provide your little one some extra support in the neck and back area, as well as provides the swaddle feeling, they really love.

How long do you use MamaRoo infant insert?

Generally speaking, it’s usually safe to remove the infant insert in the car seat once your baby is around 6 months old. You might be able to tell, just by looking, that your baby has outgrown the newborn insert.

Is the mamaRoo® infant seat approved for overnight sleeping? No. Since it is neither a flat surface (there is always a slight recline) or a firm surface, as recommended by pediatricians, we cannot recommend that it be used for overnight sleep.
Should newborns use shoulder padding Why or why not?
Many newborns slouch to one side of the seat. If this happens, place a rolled up hand towel or blanket on each side of your baby’s shoulders. Only use specially-designed supports if they came with your car seat. And never place any padding under your baby, since it can affect the safety of the harness.
