Is BAHA considered cochlear implant?

Can you swim with a BAHA implant?
A Cochlear Baha will not limit your swimming or sports activity. For more active or contact sports, it is suggested that you wear a helmet to protect your equipment. For swimming, you will need to remove the external component (much like a hearing aid). The abutment is not affected by water.

For the Baha Connect System, as long as the sound processor is removed, you can have MRI scans at 1.5T and 3.0T. For the Baha Attract System, an MRI can be performed at 1.5 Tesla with the magnet in place. If a higher strength MRI or reduction of artifact is required, the internal magnet can be surgically removed.
