Micro sol is mostly a softening solution. When applied it softens the decal allowing the decal to “suck” itself to the surface it’s applied to. This makes the decal conform to three surface nicely giving it that painted on look. Mico set is a setting solution which helps the decal stick better.

The only reason I say this, is even if you plan on using a enamel or lacquer top coat, the future will help protect the decal from the strong solvents.
