What is the difference between Delrin and Delrin 150?
What is the difference between Delrin® 100 and 150? Delrin® 100 and 500 are injection molding grades but can be extruded in smaller diameter rod (up to around 2″ diameter) and thinner plate (up to about 2″ thick). Delrin® 150 and 550 are the extrusion grades of Delrin® 100 and 500, respectively.

How is glass filled nylon made?
Glass-filled nylon is created by adding powdered glass to the nylon resin or by extruding the plastic with glass fibers. The resulting material has some very useful properties: It has a stiffness that is up to 80 percent greater than standard nylon.
Can you bend Delrin?
Yes, Delrin can be heated and bent but you should be careful not to heat it too close to its melting point where it will turn into a liquid.
How do you cut Delrin?
It cuts easily with a carbide blade and it won’t hurt it. Cuts with a bandsaw, RAS, miter saw, lathe, etc. Haing been in the plastics distribution and fabrication industry for a few years the short answer is yes. Delrin, Celcon, and other acetal plasitcs cut similar to wood.
