How do I stop calls from electricity marketers?
Make sure to sign up for the National Do Not Call (DNC) registry at https://www.donotcall.gov/. It can take some time for this list to update and you might receive calls during that period. If you happen to answer one of those unwanted calls, ask to be put on their business DNC list and that company must comply.
What is an energy phone spam?
The caller will explain that they are from your energy supplier. They will no doubt sound very confident, but pushy as well. They explain your gas or electricity contracts are ending soon and will try and persuade you to agree a new contract over the phone.
