How do you get a TAP card on the tap app?
Adding a new TAP card to your phone is free!
- In the TAP app, sign in or create a TAP account.
- In the Cards section, press the add card icon at the top left.
- Press “Add a TAP Card on Your Phone.”
- Follow the prompts to add a “virtual” TAP card to your phone to use it to tap and pay.
How do I use a Go Pass TAP card?
Follow the instructions to load a yearly pass onto your GoPass TAP card. Wait 4 hours for your card to be activated, and then tap on a rail gate, rail validator, bus farebox, bus mobile validator, or at any TAP Vending Machine within 30 days, or your pass will not be activated.

Tap your phone at a retailer’s payment terminal. The phone uses a combination of NFC, Touch ID, and a secure chip called the Secure Element to complete the payment. To add a card, simply snap a pic of it using the iPhone’s camera. After verifying with your bank, the card is added to Passbook.
How much money does my TAP card have?

How much does it cost to tap your card?
Contactless Charges Bank of Ireland and Ulster do charge – but just 1c per transaction. Bank of Ireland is suspending their contactless charge during the coronavirus emergency. The other banks don’t currently apply a charge.

Double-click the side button. When your default card appears, glance at iPhone to authenticate with Face ID, or enter your passcode. Position the top of iPhone within a few centimeters of the contactless reader until you see Done and a checkmark on the screen.
