What is the Omnipod training?

What supplies do you need for Omnipod?
- Several new, sealed Pods.
- Extra, new PDM batteries (at least two AAA alkaline)
- A vial of rapid-acting U-100 insulin.
- Syringes or pens/needles for injecting insulin.
- Instructions from your healthcare provider about how much insulin to inject if delivery from the Pod is interrupted.
- Blood glucose test strips.
How do I program my Omnipod dashboard?

- Tap BG Meter Pairing Instructions.
- Follow the on-screen instructions, then tap “Start Search”
- Select the Device to pair from available meters.
- Your PDM is now paired with your blood glucose meter.
Can Omnipod go through MRI?
Device components including the Pod, CGM transmitter, and CGM sensor must be removed before Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computed Tomography (CT) scan, or diathermy treatment.
What comes in the Omnipod starter kit?
Omnipod and Omnipod DASH are available as both a starter kit and pod refills. The starter kit includes the personal diabetes manager (PDM) and associated equipment (e.g., charger, carrying case) and 5 pods. The pod refills are available as a box containing five pods. Omnipod pods can be worn for up to 72 hours.
How do you give insulin to an Omnipod?
- The Pod is a small device that you fill with insulin and wear directly on your body. Toggle expanded content.
- The Pod includes a small, flexible cannula that inserts automatically with the push of a button.
- The Pod communicates wirelessly with the Personal Diabetes Manager to program insulin delivery.
Does Omnipod read blood sugar?

How do you set your basal temp on omnipod?
Turn on the PDM. Press the Home/power button, then select Temp basal.
What is the difference between omnipod and omnipod dash?
There are two types of Omnipod Insulin Management Systems in Canada. The older system uses Eros pods that communicate with a thicker PDM via radio waves. The newer system uses DASH pods (blue cannula cover) that communicate with a sleek PDM via bluetooth. The DASH PDM does not have a blood glucose meter incorporated.
Does omnipod read blood sugar?
Do magnets affect insulin pumps?
Do not expose your pump to a magnet, such as pump cases that have a magnetic clasp. Exposure to a magnet may interfere with the motor inside the pump. Damage to the motor can cause the device to malfunction and result in serious injury.
Can omnipod be controlled by phone?
