Does Winterthur have a restaurant?
The Pavilion Cafe, located in the Visitor Center, is open Tuesday-Sunday, 11:00am-3:00 pm. Grab and go sandwiches, wraps, and salads; soup of the day; sweet treats and snacks; and coffee, tea, and assorted bottled beverages. All members and guests are welcome to picnic on-site.
Do you have to pay to walk around Winterthur?
Members receive free general admission every day and are allowed to walk the estate from dawn to dusk. Members may bring a guest to walk by bringing their guest pass to the Visitor Center for admission. Guests are only allowed access when we are open to the public.
Can I run at Winterthur?
Just northeast of Wilmington, Brandywine Creek State Park has miles of trails for running, around fields and through woods. Just west, the Winterthur du Pont estate offers a one-of-a-kind run around botanical gardens, including 10 miles of roads.

During spring, summer, and fall, Winterthur is open Tuesday–Sunday, 10:00 am-5:00 pm. During the Yuletide season, Winterthur is open daily, 10:00 am–5:00 pm. Members may also walk every day beginning at 7:00 am until dusk.
