Is Cbcs as good as CGC?
We noticed that CBCS is much more consistent in its grading. This is something to consider because you might have a comic undergraded (or overgraded) by CGC, which might affect the value, while CBCS will at least give a more consistent grade (ex: a comic that’s a 9.8 will get actually get a 9.8).
Is a 9.0 CGC good?
VERY FINE / NEARMINT 9.0 to 7.5 A VERY FINE comic book appears to have been read a few times and has been handled with care. These grades allow for some more defects than higher grades. Overall an above average copy and still very collectible.

How do I know if my comic is worth grading?
Most comics from the 80s are overprinted and are really easy to find, even in high grades. If your modern comic looks like a 9.6 or worse, then chances are that it isn’t worth sending to get graded. You would need to get a 9.8 from CGC on most newer books in order to make them worth your time and money.
Which is better CGC or PGX?
Based on my personal experience and the collective opinion of the comic collecting community, CGC is the most trusted graded authority. I have yet to personally use CBCS, but folks have plenty of positive things to say about them too.

Is a CGC 8.5 a PSA 9?
CGC 8.5 encompasses the entire PSA 7-10 range. And then CGC 9 encompasses the PSA 9-10 range.
Is CGC 9.6 good?
A 9.6 is still an outstanding grade and can be had for less than the cost of a 9.8. There really is a clear difference between a high 9.8 and a high 9.6. The problem becomes the difference between a low 9.8 and a high 9.6. Low 9.8s from CGC imo look horrible for the grade.

Is PGX grading still in business?
PGX Comics ownership has terminated much of it’s staff, including the only professional grader, presser and restoration expert they employed. The owner has no intention of replacing them with qualified professionals.

Does Cbcs do grading magazines?
